We are Proud to Present Our Original Ensemble Ballet

ARK

March 7th, 2026

This season, we’re excited to present a refreshed version of ARK, a powerful ballet that journeys alongside Noah through one of the most extraordinary stories in Scripture. New this year is the character of Noah himself, performed by acclaimed, Seyoung Kim, whose presence brings deeper dimension to the narrative. From the world before the flood, to the long days adrift on the water, to the promise of new life afterward—we explore each chapter of his experience with awe and artistry. This ballet dives deep into the emotional and spiritual landscape of Noah’s journey: the weight of isolation, the steadfastness of faith, and the hope found in God’s faithfulness. Join us as we bring this timeless story to life through movement, music, and meaning.

Seyong Kim is an internationally recognized dance artist and educator, currently Associate Professor of Dance at Western Michigan University. He holds an M.A. in Dance Education from NYU and an M.A./B.A. in Dance from Sung-Kyun-Kwan University in South Korea.

Seyong has taught and presented research around the world, exploring intercultural perspectives in dance. A former dancer with the Metropolitan Opera Ballet, Albania National Ballet, and Oakland Ballet, his choreography has been showcased at major festivals and theaters across Europe, Asia, and the Americas.
